Who doesn’t love a chiselled body or a bulky body? But hey, do you know that bodybuilding is an expensive sport?

It requires a lot of hard work and a perfect diet. Let’s just break it, you require protein to build muscles. I don’t think you need to take dry fruits or any other expensive food like fish to build muscles.

I am mentioning the top 5 sources of protein which would be affordable for an average earning person.

1.) Eggs

The egg is a mighty source of protein. Nutritionists consider eggs to be the best source of protein. An egg consists of all the amino acids. It gives you approximately 6 grams of protein per egg.

The egg has saturated fat which helps in increasing testosterone, the hormone which increases muscle mass.

It has HDL cholesterol which is good cholesterol. It helps in flowing your blood smoothly in your arteries.

Ok, enough of egg benefits, it is super cheap against the other means of protein like fish, or meat.

2.) Peanuts

Do you know that you get more protein than almonds in peanuts? Yes, it’s true. You get 24 grams of protein in 100 grams of peanuts whereas 21 grams of protein in Almonds.

So basically you don’t have to pay for high priced Almonds against these low priced Peanuts.

3.) Chicken

Many of you would argue that chicken is not cheap. But hey, let me tell you, it’s considerably cheap against the Fish.

It consists of 27 grams of protein per 100 grams, that’s like more a scoop of Whey Protein. It is lean protein, therefore, it should be included in your diet.

4.) Chickpeas

Chickpeas are considered legumes. They contain 19 grams of protein per 100 grams.

Therefore Chickpeas can be consumed in your diet as it can give you a considerable amount of protein after peanuts.

But if you are someone who is on a Keto diet, then you should avoid it because it contains 61 grams of carbohydrates per 100 grams which is very high.

5.) Whey Protein

This last protein food on our list is Whey Protein powder. It contains 24 grams of protein per scoop generally.

It is cheaper than eggs if you want to calculate it by the protein amount. The body can absorb this protein easily.

Therefore it would be good to take Whey Protein as it is cheaper than eggs and chicken.
